Cad Technician

Cad Technician to join a busy team within a successful and reputable organisation on a temporary ongoing basis to help support the Design Manager.
Main Duties:

- Working in Catia V5 - Essential requirement
- Produce 2D Production Drawings and Assembly instructions to support assembly of products.
- Revising existing 3D Models and 2D drawings to a As Built status following completion of the build.
- Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings - with the help of engineering team, create a 3D and 2D lift plan for the products.
- 3D model editing and 2D Piece part detail drawings for fabrication.
- Inputting design specifications into the CAD software - CATIA V5.
- Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.
- Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.
- Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product.
- Completing job reports.
- Ability to work unsupervised and create detailed electrical drawings as detailed above and manufacturing package of drawings, parts lists and BOM's.
What we need from you:

- CATIA V5 experience is essential to this role
- Min 2 years' experience in this role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or design / CAD Certification.
- Previous experience as a CAD technician / Draughtsman - essential
- Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software - essential
- Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
