We are a small company growing our business of purchasing homes, refurbishing them and converting them into children care homes. We will purchase a property, refurbish it and then operate it as a children’s care home.

We are looking for a individual to help us meet our vision that will want to stay with us long term to help refurbish and maintain our small number but growing properties.

Responsible for completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs and tackling a range of other practical tasks and including that of refurbishment of properties.

You will be expected to be versatile, with multiple duties and responsibilities, including:
**Plumbing**:To resolve basic problems such as installing new taps, sinks and toilets, and repairing leaks and basic items of installing a new radiator from the existing pipe line. Plumbing in bathrooms, show trays, sinks and toilets

**Electrical**: replacing bulbs, rewiring sockets on existing main rings, installing alarms, doorbells, security cameras and thermostats.

**Decorating**: painting walls and ceilings, doors, painting or touching up touching up skirting boards and door frames, sanding floors and other wooden surfaces.

**Repairs and Maintenance**: installing or repairing cabinets, doors, countertops and flooring including tiles, carpets or other hardwood and laminate aspects including damaged window frames.

**Gardening**: mowing lawns, trimming hedges, bushes and trees, weeding, watering flower beds and repairing border walls and fences. Removing garden waste or rubbish

Carpentry - being able to install a door frame, fire door with locks and furniture, building basic partitions including that of building frames as required for baths, sinks, etc. Being able to install kitchen cabinets, worktops, etc

Tiling - installing new tiles from time to time on walls and floors including that of repairs.

Plastering and skimming - being able to put on plasterboards on wood partitions, dot and dab on walls including that of bonding and skimming as required including patch repairs and filling as required for small walls or complete walls

Concrete and bricklaying - to build basic walls from concrete blocks such as blocking up door ways, able to install concrete lintels over door ways. To undertake concrete mix and filling for floors and install self levelling screeds. Basic brick laying

Paving and slabbing - To prepare ground with hardcore, sand and undertake block paving, and small driveways repairs and upgrades.

Double Glazing windows and repairs - being able to replace old windows with new windows as required to upgrade windows in properties and being able to replace double glazing glass for broken glass. To replace gaskets and generally service windows as required.

**New Projects**:
Assisting in removal of furniture, kitchen or bathroom furnishings, curtains, carpets and or flooring and clearing rubbish to take to the tip

**Qualifications & Experience**

Must be flexible to work weekends as required to make up hours as often jobs can be weather dependent.

Must be able to cover work in the Birmingham area (10%) with majority of work in the Wednesbury, Walsall, west Bromwich and Burton upon Trent areas.

You must be a driver and capable of driving a small van with manual gears. You must have a driving licence with less than 3 points and not been disqualified in the last 5 years.

Bonus Incentive up to £3,000 per year, therefore OTE are £30,000 plus.
