**Business**:
**The Position**

Applications are invited for a Site Electrician at our SecAnim Ltd, Widnes Site. This site is a 24 hour operation running 365 days per year. The role is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (days).

As a Site Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

- Working under Health & Safety guidelines.
- Site Electrical installations and upgrade work around plants.
- Electrical maintenance of Plant including ppm system.
- Attending and rectifying electrical breakdowns on Energy and Rendering divisions.
- Maintenance of lighting systems including emergency lighting.
- Electrical Maintenance of offices.
- Training of apprentices.
- Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditation.
- Knowledge of 3 phase 415v Motor drives 0.75kw - 160kw (including star / delta control) and motor inverter controls.
- Good control panel fault finding skills (24VDC - 415VAC).
- Knowledge of various types of panel control including contactors, overloads, relays.
- Experience and an understanding of various instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure transducers, level sensors with 24Vdc 4-20MA controls.

**The Person**
- You must have knowledge of Heavy Industry electrics.
- Experience of PLC’S would be an advantage
- Experience of working on steam boilers and CHP plant would be an advantage.
- Have extensive electrical knowledge / training.
- Experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
- Confident demeanour.
- Be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
- Experience of plant operations.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels
