Vision for Education are seeking to appoint school cover supervisors (classroom monitor) to work in our local secondary schools in York, and surrounding areas. This is an immediate start and will be working on a flexible and long term basis.

**About the role**:
Vision for Education are seeking to appoint a school cover Supervisor to work in our local secondary schools in Selby, York and surrounding areas. This is an immediate start and will be working on a flexible basis. The role will be to assist and support in Key Stage 3 & 4 classes either as an assistant or delivering pre-set work in the absence of the teacher. You do not need to hold a teaching qualification, but must demonstrate that you have previously worked with children in any previous role (teaching, youth worker, sports coach, support worker, summer camps, voluntary etc).

This is an excellent way of getting paid Teaching experience prior to doing Teacher Training

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Classroom supervisor you will:

- Be degree qualified
- Have a high level in literacy and numeracy
- Have a flexible approach to work and be able to think on your feet
- Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students in their learning
- Have excellent classroom management skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- to be educated to degree level
