Head Chef

**A Head Chef** is required to work in a exceptional care home setting. This is a permanent and full time role of 40 hours per week.

This is a critical role to ensure Residents receive highly nutritious and specific meals throughout the day, on time and to high standards.
- Duties will include:_

As Head Chef you will liaise with residents for their requests and plan and delivery of high quality meals from traditional to international, special dietary requirements and seasonal specials. This is high end food and modern, taking the menu options toa creative and inspiring level.
- Managing strict diets and nutritionally mapped meals
- Ensuring all foods prepared meet the Food Hygiene Standards through best practice and safe methods of work.
- To work with your brigade to ensure all process of stock management and orders, food labelling and storage are at the highest standard.
- Liaising with Residents and Colleagues for specific needs and of course to ensure they feel fully supported in their needs
- To ensure that all equipment and provisions are managed, cleaned and maintained in line with food hygiene, safety and company policies
- To assist in the recruitment and training of catering employees and assist in their development. Ensuring all mandatory training is completed and identify additional training as and when required.
- You will be_
- An experienced head chef with at least a NVQ Level 2 in catering, hospitality or equivalent.
- An excellent communicator with all people and a great team player
- Efficient and confident with paperwork, compliance and processes
- Passionate about providing brilliant food for people who depend on you

This is a 40 hour a week contract with overtime available. Earliest start of 6am, non split shifts, working in a team to cover the meal times in the most efficient and fair way.
