As the first point of contact, courteously and efficiently receive all face to face and telephone enquiries from staff, patients, carers and external agencies in relation to hospital admissions, appointments and general enquiries, ensuring that accurate records, both manual and electronic, are maintained and appropriate action is taken in a timely manner. Provides a front door meet and greet service to patients, visitors and new staff, answers the telephone and deals with enquiries from hospital staff and the public concerning admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Also provide information regarding parking, refreshment facilities etc. Register, admit and discharge patients using our electronic systems.

Ensuring data input is correct and data quality is maintained Treat individuals in a non-judgemental, respectful manner, irrespective of race, creed, gender, age, religion, personal appearance, lifestyles or behaviour. The service requires the post holder to work on a rota with a requirement for this to be worked flexibly over a seven-day working week covering days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays (including Christmas and New Year).
