Head of Commercial

Key Responsibilities:
- **Leadership and Management**:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to 10 branch managers, the HQ admin manager, and a branch cover employee.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment across all branches and teams.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing support and development opportunities for branch managers and their teams.
- **Sales and Commercial Strategy**:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales across all branches, ensuring a compassionate and customer-focused approach.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- **Customer Service Enhancement**:
- Ensure all branches deliver exceptional customer service, understanding the unique needs and sensitivities of memorial customers.
- Implement training programs and best practices to enhance the customer experience.
- Address customer feedback and complaints promptly and effectively, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- **Change Management**:
- Lead change management initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders, ensuring smooth transitions and buy-in from staff.
- Manage projects related to branch operations, from planning to execution and review.
- **Operational Oversight**:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the branches, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Work closely with the HQ admin manager to streamline administrative processes and support branch activities.
- Ensure that all branches are well-maintained and present a professional and respectful environment.
- **Financial Management**:
- Develop and manage budgets for the commercial operations, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor expenses and optimize cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a commercial leadership role
- Strong people management skills with a track record of leading and developing teams.
- Excellent change management skills, with the ability to drive and manage organizational change.
- Demonstrated ability to increase sales in a customer-focused manner, without resorting to hard-sell tactics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to customer service.
**What you can expect from us**:
- 40hours a week, Monday to Friday

- Frequent travel to 10 branches, some work from our Head Office in Cardiff, and occasional working from home
