Pharmacy Dispenser or Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser

We have a vacancy for a part-time Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team within Borders Pharmacy, Galashiels.

Saturday: 9:00 - 17:00

*option for over-time on an adhoc basis*

If you are interested in further developing your professional career, we can support you towards achieving both competency and knowledge based NVQ Level 3 (QCF) qualification in Pharmacy Services to become eligible to register with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician. This could then lead to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. **As you continue to develop your healthcare knowledge through these qualifications and roles, your pay and benefits will reflect this.**

**Your main duties will include**:

- Maintain an accurate, efficient and professional dispensing experience for all of our customers.
- Serving patients on the front counter, selling medicines and taking in prescriptions.
- Support our pharmacist in achieving excellence in our customer experience and meeting all legal requirements.
- Dispensing repeat and acute medication.
- Liaising with Pharmacist and other members of the Pharmacy team
- Dealing with compliance aids
- Give healthcare advice
- Maintaining Pharmacy stock levels

**Essential skills and requirement**:

- Minimum NVQ2 qualification
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Able to comply fully and understand the importance of customer confidentiality.
- Good organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.
- Able to build relationships with key partners (GP surgeries, care/nursing homes etc.)
