**About the Role**

This is an exciting time to join the MRC as we continue to expand and grow Estates and Engineering functions

The Engineering & Estates team are recruiting an Electrical Supervisor to be responsible for leading the day-to-day management and execution of maintenance on electrical site services.

The post holder will supervise internal and external works, and ensure the electrical plant is performing effectively, managed and retained in a serviceable condition, undertaking routine maintenance, and scheduling works to adhere to industry and safetystandards.

The Electrical Supervisor will carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installation work in accordance with industry standards, and will be required to work in a safe manner at all times, adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Regulations to maintaina safe working environment.

You will work to ensure that all work carried out on the MRC estate is completed in an effective and professional manner and that all current Health & Safety and technical legislation is adhered to, including risk assessments and method statements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Estate’s electrical services (lighting and emergency lighting/general power 230-415V, including fire alarms, door access, IT and communication systems etc)
- Assisting the Mechanical Supervisor in providing support using the Planet FM software to manage and issue work requests and planned and preventative maintenance
- Scheduling and undertaking reactive, preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance
- Responsible for site-wide electrical compliance testing inclusive of 5 yearly Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and Portable Appliance Testing and associated defect rectification
- Undertake routine site wide plant checks
- Fault finding and carrying out breakdown repairs as and when necessary
- Installation/management of small project works and contractors

**About You**:
You will have:

- City & Guilds levels 3 (or an NVQ accredited equivalent) in an electrical engineering discipline
- Qualified to BS7671(IET) - 18th Edition
- Experience in the electrical industry
- Working knowledge of Electrical Systems and Design
- Good working knowledge of electrical services engineering practices
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems and operational theory
- Knowledge of HSE safety legislation
