Glass Blower

The Best Connection Newcastle are recruiting for 2 x full time permanent **Glass Blowers **on behalf of a well established glass manufacturing business based in Stanley.

**The role**:

- Read work orders, follow production drawings, and receive verbal and written instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture, lathe, or manually, using tweezers, vacuum chuck, or hand instruments.
- Load and unload annealing ovens and check parts for stress.
- Report to supervisor any conflicting information on work order, prints and pick list.
- Report time and material movements in ERP system as required.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
- Tuition reimbursement depends on program and relevancy to career goals and individual development plan. Must be employed for 6 months before eligible.
- Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of progressively complex glass fabrication experience
- Technical training equivalent to 2 years trade school or formal apprenticeship program

**Hours of work and Pay**:

- Monday to Friday standard working week
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00am to 15:30pm
- Friday: 08:00am to 12:00pm
- Basic salary: £35k - £50k per annum (dependent on experience and work history)
- Overtime is paid after completion of weekly standard working hours

**This is a permanent position.**
