**What You’ll Be Doing**
- As part of the Moonpig UK Buying team and reporting to the Range Planning Manager, your core responsibility will be to ensure that we have the most efficient levels of inventory in line with business targets and expectations, as well as customer demand. Your connection to the merchandising and operations team is critical to deliver the optimum inventory performance in terms of stock turn, reduced wastage and optimum availability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Forecasting demand: You will use historical sales data and market trends to forecast future demand for products, ensuring that Moonpig has enough stock to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Collaborating with the Buying team on suppliers: You will work closely with the Buyers and suppliers to ensure that they can meet Moonpig’s demand for products
- Managing inventory levels: You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring that Moonpig has enough stock to meet customer demand while minimising excess inventory.
- Monitoring stock levels and sales: You will monitor stock levels and sales data, adjusting inventory levels as needed to ensure that the company has the right amount of inventory on hand at all times.
- Identifying slow-moving and excess inventory: You will identify slow-moving and excess inventory, working with the buyers to develop strategies to clear the inventory and minimise losses.
- Working with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, buying and operations to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.
- Analysing sales and inventory data: You will analyse sales and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, developing strategies to optimise inventory levels and improve stock turn.
- Managing stock availability: Work in partnership with the merchandising team to ensure that suppliers are meeting expectations and SLA’s
- Developing and implementing stock policies: You will develop and implement stock policies and procedures, ensuring that the company has a clear and consistent approach to managing inventory.

**What does success look like**:

- Improved sales and profitability performance for all product ranges
- Reduced stockholding, wastage and margin loos through improved stock control
- Support in delivering buying strategies
- Achievement of budgeted stock turn, stock holding, wastage and availability targets

**About you**:

- You must have strong analytical skills
- You must be an excellent communicator
- Your collaboration skills must be one of your strong points
- You should have experience in Inventory Planning, or a related field
- You must have a strong eye for detail
- A self starter
- A person who is not afraid to challenge and suggest new and different ways of improving process and goals.
