This is a great opportunity to recruit a Nursing Associate to work with our newly established nursing team on Cuerden Ward.

We are looking for a caring and compassionate, dynamic, motivated practitioner who possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Wanting to work in the innovative field of diabetic nursing, providing excellent quality care for patients.

We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills.

Provide good quality personalised care in accordance with agreed local and national standards
- Take samples from patients for testing or dispatching eg: Urine, sputum, faeces, MRSA swabs, blood sugars, blood samples.
- Taking samples from central lines.
- Venepuncture
- Assist patients to meet nutritional needs in line with their individual care plan.
- Undertake clinical duties relevant to clinical area following achievement of competencies.
- Assist to maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Undertaking assessments and completing relevant documentation
- Assist in maintaining standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care.
- Promote equality in care and practice by recognising, respecting and meeting the needs and choices of individuals.
- Catheterisation
- Cannulation
- Assisting nursing staff with blood administration
