- Hours of 8.00am to 8.50am and 3:15pm to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, during term time.
- Hours may be available during the school holidays at our 'Holiday Playscheme' should you wish to work. (These would be different to term time hours).

**Summary of your responsibilities**:

- To assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- To provide high quality care for the children including supervising school collections, interacting during play and leading activities and games.
- To help to set up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment and tidying at the end of the session.
- To work as a Keyworker and actively engage with children and young people at our children’s council meetings, involving them in the planning of their activities and club decisions.
- To use positive behaviour management strategies and to be responsible for the behaviour of the children in your care ensuring that they behave in a safe and appropriate manner.
- To undertake observation, evaluation and record keeping as required.
- To assist with preparing snacks and drinks and ensuring that food hygiene standards are adhered to.
- Administering first aid when needed.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and school.
- Ensure that the play environment is tidy, safe and secure at all times.
- To adhere to the club’s policies and procedures at all times.

**Essentials**:

- A Level 2 or Level 3 (Full and Relevant) Early Years Qualification
- An understanding of the varied needs of children and their families.
- To have good communication skills, to be friendly and approachable.
- To be able to work as part of a team, but also on your own initiative.
- To have common sense and good judgment.

**Desirable**:

- Experience within an out of school club.
- A Full UK driving licence and daily access to a vehicle.
- Valid Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
- On thr DBS Update Service.

An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
