Nurtured Future Supported Living is a Health and Social Care Company looking for flexible, enthusiastic, compassionate and caring people to provide up to 24 hours support to vulnerable young people.

We are looking for support workers to join our team in Montgomery to work with 16+ years in our training apartments to prepare them for independent living.

Full Job Description

Job Title - Support Worker - Young People

Location - Montgomery, Powys

Salary - £12.00 per hour, plus block payment of £60 for each sleep ins

Shift Pattern:

- 8am to 11pm
- 11pm to 8am (sleep-in)
- 11pm to 8am (wake nights, if required)

You will need to be flexible to cover all shifts, days, nights & weekends

Contract - 24 hour contract + Overtime or we do offer a 0 hour

6 Month Probation Period

**What is a day for a Nurtured Future Supported Living Support Worker?**
- To act as a positive role model
- Support in a structure-rich environment, being consistent and nurturing
- Assisting young people to become as independent as possible
- Monitoring and educating the young people we support
- Supporting day-to-day activities to help build their social and emotional skills
- Managing and understanding behaviours of concern and the reason for them
- Awareness of stresses or abuse, monitoring, recording and reporting
- Assistants with budgeting
- Positive engagement is key to encouraging young people’s development

- **To be a successful Support Worker with Nurtured Future Supported Living, you’ll need:

- **
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding
- Flexibility to work shifts 12 hour shifts, sleep in shifts and alternate weekends
- Hold NVQ/Diploma or equivalent in Children & Young people or any related qualifications within Children & Young people or supported living.
- Ideally over 2 year experience working with either children or young people or within a supported living environment.
- Driver with a full UK driving licence is preferred
- Well written and comprehensive record keeping
