**Job summary**:

- As a Compliance Officer you will be a first point of contact for potential compliance issues. Providing support in instances where exceptions arise during the lifecycle of BDUK programmes. This could involve responding to queries, escalating issues, and investigating anomalies. You will need to be able to proactively manage a caseload of queries/issues, be able to support the efficient delivery and operation of the voucher scheme, and have the ability to solve problems in a logical and consistent way.**Job description**:

- Responsible for managing queries and exceptions that arise throughout the end-to-end operational lifecycle, providing support to suppliers and BDUK colleagues where such instances arise.
- Efficiently manage a workstack of exception and queries, taking into account priorities and relevant SLAs/KPIs.
- Escalate and proactively monitor the resolution of issues according to BDUK processes and policies.
- Investigate anomalies in scheme data.
- Engage with key stakeholders that raise exceptions (e.g. suppliers / local bodies), providing a point of contact within BDUK throughout the end-to-end query and exception process.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and BDUK colleagues in order to foster productive working relationships and the effective resolution of issues.
- Meet target set in SLAs/KPIs for responding to exceptions.
- Contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the scheme by working proactively with the Compliance Investigations Lead to continuously improve service delivery, taking advantage of opportunities such as process improvement and automation where relevant.
- Presenting recommendations with evidence on regular basis to the team.

- The ability to work methodically and consistently through a workstack.
- Good record keeping skills.
- A collaborative approach to working with others and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational ability, administrative and analytical skills.
- Experience of operating in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- A proactive approach to managing workload.
- Proven ability to establish relationships with a range of stakeholders to support the delivery of business outcomes.
- A commitment to team working and support for continuous improvement both in individual work areas and across the team.
- Exceptional written communication skills.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of case management.
- Understanding of Fraud and/or Non Compliance.
- Knowledge of Google sheets and Excel.
- Experience of interpreting legislation.

This role can be based in London, Manchester, Darlington or Belfast. The hub locations are displayed on the job advert. Not all hub locations yet have confirmed office space - successful applicants will be expected to work remotely until this becomes available.

Existing BDUK and DCMS staff who are currently based in London and are successful in gaining this role will be able to remain working from the London base.
