**Job description**

We are currently looking for a Trainee Junior Clerk to join our busy clerking team.

The role will involve providing administrative and additional support to the specialist barristers and clerks within the Civil, Criminal and Family teams as and when required.

The work undertaken at a barrister’s chambers is interesting and high paced so the ability to multi-task and communicate well is essential.

This is a busy and demanding role but an excellent opportunity to start a career in a unique area of the legal world. The role is permanent, full-time and office based.

**Hours**

37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 6pm.

The core hours are 9am - 5:30pm with occasional shifts of 8:30am - 5pm or 9:30am-6pm, a rota is produced one month in advance.

**Requirements**:

- They must show initiative and willingness to work in a pressured environment
- At least six months experience of clerical/administrative work or work involving customer service is essential.
- They must be well presented, with good communication skills and a tidy and organised approach to the working environment.

**In return**

**Salary**: starting salary of £22000-25000 dependent on experience and to be reviewed on completion of probationary period.

Holiday: 25 Days Holiday plus bank holidays

Extra day of holiday for each completed year of service for the first 5 years
