We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a **QC Inspector** based in **Rotherham.**
**This role pays up to £50,000 plus a strong company benefits package plus an early finish on a Friday.
**Position**:
- Responsible for the correct receipt of site deliveries
- Inspect all incoming goods for quality and advise of any defects or damage
- Full dimensional inspection of all incoming materials and certification
- Verify compliance with traceability requirements (e.g. 3.1 Material Certificates etc)
- Book receipts into our P+ & AESSOP MRP systems
- Identify any material shortages to the Project Engineers
- Follow the Goods Inwards & Quality Control Procedure
- Perform shop floor inspection activities including Dimensional & Welding
- Record welding, material traceability data from the shopfloor and input into AESSOP
- Organise and create AESSOP Requests for NDT, PWHT, Hardness, Pressure Test and Painting
- Perform final inspection and release of items to clients
- Actively participate in stock take activities
- Other tasks related to material accuracy and goods in activities
- Work in a manner, which protects the health, safety and welfare of self and others
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business
- Look after company interests at all times
**Requirements**:
**Experience**
- Experience in a Goods In role within a manufacturing environment
- Preferred CSWIP 3.1/3.2 certified
- Experience in shopfloor inspections and weld inspection
- IT literate with experience using a MRP system in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read manufacturing general assembly drawings
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- You must be able to work on your own initiative
- Forklift experience would be preferred but not essential.
