Streetworks Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Streetworks professional to lead our Streetworks team at our Customer Solutions Centre in Slough.

The key responsibilities
- As Streetworks Lead, you will be responsible for the team and support them with the management and administration of permitting. This will involve the monitoring and coordination of Street Works activities and people.
- Be a proven leader who can manage a programme of works and have experience of people management
- Be the key point of contact for any escalations relating to Traffic Management
- Ensure that all Street works Permits are requested on time and in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure Traffic Management Plans are available in accordance with procedures.
- Working closely with local authorities, you will be responsible for opening and closing permits using Streetworks systems whilst ensuring that all aspects of the TMA (Traffic Management Act) are met. Respond to Highways comments, PMR and manage active permits to prevent any Fixed Penalty Notices and Overrun charges.
- Assist with day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope when required
- Monitor and identify street works compliance, performance risk in relation to Section 74, Fixed Penalty Notice and report to the business.
- Lead on all aspects of Streetworks co-ordination providing clear understanding of all Permits
- Implementation of change and alignment to department and business strategy and provide updates when required
- Effective control of the processes, resources and data concerned with Highways authority. Control successful delivery of time bound SLA’s.
- Liaise with Sub-contractors to ensure that all jobs are covered and go ahead on time.
