We are seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join the Borough’s Community Safety team, based at the Civic Offices in Woking town centre.
- Investigate suspected cases of antisocial behaviour and support affected individuals.
- Gather evidence and secure suitable resolutions to cases of antisocial behaviour, including prosecution where appropriate.
- Deliver early interventions.
- Develop and manage preventative work, for example in local schools.

You will advise and work with Woking Borough Council colleagues investigating reports of nuisance, harassment and anti-social behaviour made by residents. As part of these investigations, you will liaise with key local partners, including the police, social landlords, domestic abuse service providers, Surrey County Council and others as appropriate.

You will provide support and regularly communicate with victims/witnesses throughout a case until resolution or closure. Excellent case management is essential, including maintaining timely case records on a case management system.

Where necessary you will identify and pursue legal action such as Community Protection Warnings/Notices, Injunctions, briefing solicitors, preparing witness statements, attending court and acting as a witness where appropriate.

You will have experience of working and managing anti-social behaviour with a good knowledge of up to do date relevant legislation.

A full driving licence and access to your own car is essential for this role.
