**Customer service 'Technical Officer' - Fenland District Council**

**Full time (37 hours) - £27,803- £33,945**

8.30am or 9am - 4pm or 4:30pm* Monday to Friday and 9am - midday around one Saturday in six. (*dependant on scheduled work location)

Variable base - must be willing to travel to work locations in Chatteris, March, Whittlesey and Wisbech, with option of some working from home.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Fenland District Council's 'My Fenland' customer service team as a technical officer.

The role of technical officer within the team will mean that as well as dealing with general day-to-day queries you will be given additional training and responsibility within at least two specific areas of the council.

This is likely to include 'assets, projects & estates' and could also include other areas such as licensing, marine services, environmental services and cemeteries.

We're looking for a people person who will thrive on variety and working as part of a busy and lively customer-focused team. You will also need to be team player with great attention to detail.

You'll be resolving customer queries on a wide range of council and partner services.

In addition, the My Fenland team provides admin support to key services across the council.

You'll work at different locations across Fenland - in Chatteris, March, Whittlesey and Wisbech. Our contact centre is based in March, we have business centres in Chatteris and Wisbech and offer face-to-face appointments in all those locations as well as Whittlesey. Therefore, you will need use of a vehicle and the role includes a personal vehicle allowance.

You will mostly work 8.30am or 9am - 4pm or 4.30pm weekdays and around one in six Saturdays 9am to midday. There may be occasional evening working to cover conferences at our business centres in Wisbech and Chatteris.

Previous experience in a customer-focused environment is essential.

Full training will be provided.
