Principal Consultant/associate Director

**Responsibilities**
- Develop, sell and deliver existing and new climate consulting services, working directly with clients throughout this process. You will be providing leading support on progressive climate action. Anthesis has developed an enviable reputation in providing leading insight and delivery and the area of climate is no exception.
- Write proposals for new business, in collaboration with the existing team
- Be independent in engaging with a wide variety of clients, often in senior roles within their business.
- You will be developing and reviewing technical deliverables, drawing on expertise from across the wider team and rest of the business.
- Attend and lead client meetings, where necessary, for development of opportunities and project delivery.
- Manage multiple projects independently with mínimal supervision to meet tight deadlines.
- Learn and develop your technical expertise, supported by our technical directors across the sustainability teams as well as mentor more junior consultants including providing line management, where necessary.

**Summary of Role**
We are seeking a highly motivated Principal or Associate Director level technical consultant to join the UK Climate team. This is a leadership role engaging directly with the market to deliver major sustainability projects to our clients. It will involve collaborating with global Anthesis sustainability experts and with other Technical Consultants not only to deliver great projects but also to develop new innovative ways of approaching sustainability.
Anthesis focuses on driving maximum sustainable impact by our clients both in the private and public sector, many of which are major blue-chip companies such as LEGO, PepsiCo, Diageo and Janssen. You will have the opportunity to work on market leading projects across areas including greenhouse gas inventories, science-based targets, internal carbon pricing, climate risk, ecological footprinting, economic modelling, life cycle analysis, food waste, climate action plans, climate justice and much more. You will working with a large team of experts both in the UK and across our global practice.
We are seeking someone with personal passion for sustainability, eager to learn with a drive to have impact. You must be a self-starter with initiative who can flex across client sectors and services areas to deliver excellence and value for our clients.
**Requirements**:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) Bachelors/Master’s Degree or equivalent
- 6-10+ years’ experience in relevant work or research position
- Excellent project management/direction and team leadership
- Strong numeracy with comfortable, advanced use of Microsoft Excel
