We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Deputy Head Housekeeper to join our highly successful team here at The Cairndale Hotel. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that our uniquely styled hotel is cleaned and maintained to a perfect standard.

As Deputy Head Housekeeper, you will be working alongside senior management and team members to ensure the exceptional standards are sustained. You will be responsible for leading the team and managing the day to day tasks.

In the absence of the Head Housekeeper you would be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high standards of service on a daily basis within our independent 91 bedroom hotel.

Our Successful Deputy Head Housekeeper will;
- Assist in ensuring the housekeeping department runs smoothly when the Head Housekeeper is absent.
- Ensuring vacant bedrooms are checked to the required standard before given back to reception.
- Ensuring serviced rooms are spot checked to ensure they are being serviced to the required standard.
- Ensuring new room attendants are trained on cleaning and servicing bedrooms to the required standard.
- Compiling the room attendants' work lists and rotas in the absence of the Head Housekeeper and in keeping with business needs.
- Work with the reception team to ensure that guest’s personal requests and needs are met
- Be responsible for reporting and follow up all maintenance issues
- Ensure the bedrooms are ready for the guests to arrive by check in time.
- Ensure all public areas and all public toilets are clean tidy and corridors are clean and clear
- Be responsible for COSHH and issuing the correct PPE for the task
- Maintain and control stock levels within the department.
- Accurately record and store any lost guest property
- Report any damage or misuse of the facilities to the Head Housekeeper.
- Ensure extra beds, twin beds, cots, flowers or anything else needed are in the room for the comfort of the guests.

Our successful Deputy Head Housekeeper will;
- Have previous experience in a similar environment at a similar level
- Be able to maintain and drive standards in the department
- Prioritise work load and be able to multi task
- Demonstrate people skills - manage, motivate and if necessary, uphold discipline
- Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and strong communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
