We are hiring for a field service manager for our client in Leeds.

**Duties of a field service manager**:
You will be responsible for:

- The primary role of the technician will be to support, diagnose, repair and calibrate instrumentation and analytical devices in our workshop and on customer sites throughout the UK.
- The technician would also be expected to liaise directly with customers, produce job reports and timesheets and provide telephone/remote support as and when required.
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
- Maintain tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
- Meet Health and Safety, COSHH and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage the service team on a day-to-day basis
- Assist Sales Team so that they can offer best technical solution in Sales Opportunities
- Take responsibility for the recruitment, training and mentoring of service team members
- to be Qualified to work on Field Instrumentation in Flammable Atmospheres - COMPEX Approved
- Complete Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
- Order and manage repair parts cycle times.
- Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
- Escalating issues that cannot be resolved on site to supplier technical support, taking ownership of the issue and ensuring that a resolution plan is in place
- Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
- Implementing procedures to ensure QA auditing and ISO9000 approval for IMA

**Skills and experience of a field service manager**:
As a field service manager, you will need:

- 5 + years experience in a similar service or maintenance role ideally within O&G, Process, Petrochem, Power industries
- Experience of servicing and maintaining instrumentation, ideally analysers and detectors and associated sample systems
- to be Keen to make a big contribution in how the company grows
- Experience of managing and leading others within a Service Department
- Recognised higher qualifications such as HND or BEng in Instrumentation
