Seafreight Operator Birmingham

My client is an independent Global Freight and logistics provider handling Road, Air & Sea, and Warehouse

The group employs over 1,400 people offices all over the UK, and the Republic of Ireland, plus freight teams in Belgium and the Netherlands and internationally in Hong Kong, China, India and the UAE. With a record turnover of £302m for the last 12 months and an ambitious investment programme this is a great time to join this forward looking global freight forwarder

Position Summary:
To build, manage and maintain relationships with key Air & Sea stakeholders and support the day-to-day operations through excellent customer service and attention to detail. We are currently looking for a Seafreight Operator to join the Sea freight Team in the Birmingham office.

Ensuring all customs, shipment and operational costs are accounted for and applied and that goods are efficiently cleared for entry.

Ensure that excellent and consistent service levels are met at all times. Check invoicing batches to ensure files are accurately costed and invoiced.

Skills and experience required:
Experience in ocean imports & some exposure to customs processes/ clearance but we will consider export operators Time management and communication skills. The ability to prioritise and to pro-actively deal with situations and use initiative. Excellent team player

Salary and Benefits

Salary range circa £28,000 £33,000
