The post holder will assist qualified therapists in providing high quality individualised physiotherapeutic programmes to adults with acute and long term neurological conditions in the community, in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas. They will assist the client to achieve their maximum independence through a planned programme of rehabilitation and enablement.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To carry own caseload of clients as delegated by qualified therapist
- To assist and lead individual and small group sessions as required
- To facilitate clients to carry out exercise-based programmes relating to mobility and functional ability as directed by qualified therapists
- To exercise a reasonable and agreed degree of autonomy where required, including working without direct supervision
- To work within limits of own competence and not to engage in activities outside of your agreed boundaries
- To undertake clinical work-related tasks as delegated by qualified therapists, following appropriate training and assessment of competency.
- To undertake clinical supervision to further develop competence and clinical practice.
- To liaise effectively with all stakeholders, including carers and relatives, aspiring to provide an effective, seamless and integrated service to clients.
- To maintain accurate, legible records of input provided, based upon the care plan incorporating all relevant communication and liaison.
- To maintain and update relevant knowledge and skills and participate in further training as appropriate to enhance quality of service to clients
- To comply with company policies and protocols
- To obtain and maintain associate membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy whilst in post.

**Person Specification**

1. Qualifications

Essential
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy or Health / Rehab Care Assistant.

Desirable

2. Experience
- Experience working with clients with disabilities.
- Experience of dealing effectively with the public.

3. Skills, abilities and knowledge
- Can demonstrate knowledge of the role of OT and physiotherapist.
- Demonstrate ability to learn new skills.

4. Qualities and attributes

Essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competent IT skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Desirable
- Advanced computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.

5. Other requirements
- Ability to carry out moderate to intense physical activity throughout the working day.
- Hold a full driver’s licence. Car driver.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-30 per week

**Salary**: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
