Lowestoft, United Kingdom Ormiston Academies Trust Full time

Assistant Principal
Leadership 11-15 (£56,796 - £62,561)
Start Date: September 2023

Ormiston Denes Academy is at an exciting stage of its journey, with a recent Ofsted report and results which demonstrate its continued improvement. To ensure our journey to good, we are expanding our senior leadership team to enable a laser-like focus on our strategic priorities, coupled with the promotion of an Assistant Principal, resulting in two leadership opportunities at the academy. We are looking to appoint an outstanding leader with the experience, drive, and rigour to take the academy to the next level. We know that there is no glass ceiling for what our students can achieve, and you will share our ambition and ethos to give our students a life changing education.

What matters to us is finding the right talented leaders to develop the academy and remits can be adjusted to reflect this. We are interested in those who can bring SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and/or pastoral experience (Safeguarding and Attendance) and those with a strong curriculum background.

If you are looking to work in a vibrant academy which expects high standards from students, places a high value on the professional development of its staff, and feel you have the qualities to meet the demands of this rewarding position then we wish to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced leader who:

- Is a great teacher themselves, who recognises excellent behaviour for learning in a classroom/department and who will model this every day.
- Has the passion and expertise to nurture and grow the professional development of colleagues which build autonomy and accountability.
- Is flexible, enthusiastic, well organised and who insists on and delivers excellence.
- Has a resilient character and a strong personal drive.
- Has an unwavering determination to work with students of all abilities.
- Is a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can work with pace and purpose.
- Is a team player who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the emotional intelligence which makes them a great leader.

In return Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:

- An innovative learning community, constantly aiming for high standards.
- A supportive, welcoming community of professionals.
- Development and collaboration opportunities throughout the Ormiston network.

Closing date: 12noon, Thursday 20 April 2023
Interviews: Week Commencing 24 April 2023
