**Packhouse Operative**

**The Role**

A hands-on role working in the Packhouse, filling and labelling pouches as per the production plan. Following food safety procedures and departmental SOP’s at all times. We are currently recruiting for a morning shift (7:00 - 15:30, 15 & 30 minute break, 5 days/week).

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Packing and labelling, ensuring orders are packed in timely manner following daily production plan.

2. Following food safety procedures and departmental SOP’s at all times. This includes personal hygiene and food hygiene policies.

3. Helping to ensure the Packhouse is a safe environment and procedures and training are followed at all times.

4. Set up, control and adjust machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle (e.g. scale, sealer, labelling machine, etc.)

5. Weigh and count products and packaging to order.

6. Check products for quality and report any non-conformity to Packhouse supervisor.

7. Work with Packhouse team members to ensure daily production targets are met.

8. Accurately fill in daily production reports.

9. Participate in the daily cleaning and weekly deep clean of the Packhouse.

10. Participate in daily Packhouse team meeting. Liaison with: Packhouse Supervisor, Packhouse Team Leader, Warehouse Team and the Technical team.
