An opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Servicedesk as an Advisor carrying out a full range of financial activities including
- financial support and advice to staff and service users
- routine general ledger maintenance
- processing a full range of financial transactions including journals, budget transfers, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- responding to supplier queries
- production of routine financial reports
- cashiering duties.
- Experience of working in a financial environment
- A suitable qualification or be prepared to work towards a qualification relating to the job role
- Good Literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of using IT systems and software such as Microsoft office
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of financial systems, particularly general ledgers, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ability to understand a range of guidelines including specific financial regulations and procedures, technical guidance and government regulations.
