**A professional and experienced House Manager is sought for a busy home in Oxfordshire. This is a live in position, where a 2 bedroom apartment is provided on site.**

As the House Manager will be responsible for the smooth domestic running of the house, managing and implementing the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules of the domestic staff team. You will also be responsible recruitment of domestic staff with input fromthe Estate Manager and family. The House Manager will also carry out performance reviews for the domestic team, as well as managing other employee matters.

**Essential**:Must have a valid UK driving license, a clean enhanced DBS check/ two references including most recent employer.

Duties will include:

- Acting as first point of contact for all guests arriving at the house
- Answering the house phone
- Serving refreshments and meals
- Overseeing the household domestic team and offering hands on assistance where necessary
- Implementing a daily and weekly rota to ensure all domestic duties are achieved (laundry, cleaning of rooms to suit the schedule of the principals, preparation for guests)
- Liaising with the Chef regarding meals and future events
- Managing the domestic household budget
- Purchasing goods for the household and keeping receipts to submit monthly domestic expenses
- Overseeing all internal Contractors/Suppliers
- Reporting any facility/handyman jobs to the Estate/Facilities Manager in a timely manner
- Overseeing the care of the china, antiques and other specialist items
- Managing the wine cellar and bar
- Writing and updating household manuals
- Being responsible for the internal security of the property
- Ordering internal pet food & looking after pets welfare, including arranging vet appointments
- Working with PA team to trouble shoot IT issues
- Organising the Drivers in conjunction with the Estate/Facilities Manager when errands are needed to be run

This is a live in role close to Banbury OX16

Days/Hours: 9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility to work longer hours and weekends when required

Salary will DOE £40,000 - £50,000 GPA
