**How will your role contribute at NewDay?**

In this exciting role you will contribute to ensuring we have the right data with the right quality for NewDay to make the appropriate decisions. You will leverage your analytical excellence to deliver great business and customer outcomes. As a data-driven organisation we want to ensure that we are leading the way when it comes to data and analytics, this team will ensure we give our strategy colleagues the tools to do so. A role to make real impact

**The initiatives will span**:

- Lead and support analysis of quality and stability of innovative data sources (BNPL, SKU, basket, digital, property, transaction, retailer ) for credit use,
- Run NewDay's regulatory Credit Risk Agency submissions,
- Support a Single Customer View data capability and analytical structure
- Deliver an optimisation and analysis layer over our raw data to generate insights in a robust and efficient way
- Drive automation of data ingestion quality reporting across various business functions
- Ensure that the business teams are making the most out of the data we have on our customers
- 1LoD on Governance surrounding processes within the team
- Leverage data governance tools (Surecloud, Collibra) to ensure proper data, scripts and process documentation and lineation.

**This will touch on**:

- Data Governance across the Credit & Collection team
- Existing and new data sources (CRA's, Partner data, BNPL, digital etc.)

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Process**

: Ability to develop, implement and complete thorough process in a dynamic organisation

**Strategy**:
With support from your manager, own the end-to-end delivery of key business initiatives to provide a step change in the decision making capability through access to richer data streams and better quality data

**Project Management**:
With the Product Owner, take full ownership of accountability across the full project - design, sign-off, implementation, supervising changes in your area

**Governance**

: Ensure all processes owned are fully compliant with internal and external policies (PoR, CONC, ), and audit actions are completed as expected.

**Optimisation**:
Ensuring that company strategies are optimised towards the portfolio and business needs.

**Leadership**:
Influence and guide peers across a range of abilities and aptitudes. Work with a team of strong analysts into leaders and influence the wider organisation to support the analytical agenda

**Relationship Management**:
build and improve relationships with internal and external partners to ensure an effective feedback loop and execution of strategies.

Partners include:

- New and Existing Partners
- Third Party Bureaus / Data Suppliers
- Wider risk team (including New Business, Customer Management, Collections, Data Science and Fraud)
- Commercial and Marketing

**Your Skills and Experience**:
**ESSENTIAL**
- +3 years work experience
- University degree level or similar with highly numerate and analytical background
- Attention to detail & high-level accuracy
- Passion for data
- A strategic problem solver; highly intellectual with commercial competence
- A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- High level of self-motivation and working to the highest standard within agreed timelines
- Strong coding experience (Preferably Python or SQL), proficient with all Microsoft Office products
- Experience in Tableau or Power BI tools

**Desirable**:

- Industry knowledge
- Ability to drive multiple initiatives forward simultaneously
