We are working with a Housing Association who are looking to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting on a permanent basis. This is a full-time home-based position with you needing to be flexible to attend the office in Bristol when required.

You will report directly to the CFO and form part of the Operational Leadership Team, to deliver a high-quality Financial Reporting service, ensuring that timely, accurate and relevant information is provided to the Senior Leadership Team, the Board andthe Audit and Risk Committee

With 3 direct reports, you will lead the year-end external financial audit, with responsibility for preparing the annual Statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102, the Housing SORP and the Regulator of Social Housing Accounting Direction.

You will also be responsible for management of the Tax, VAT and CIS and Purchase to Pay functions within the Finance area.
- A qualified CCAB accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS) with 2 years post qualification experience.
- Experience of leading a year-end financial audit for and have a very strong understanding of the audit process.
- Demonstrable experience of preparing consolidated financial statements
- Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills.
- Advanced level Excel skills.
- Experience of designing and implementing financial controls.
- Good team management skills in an agile working environment.
- Previous experience of working for a social housing provider or charity would be advantageous but is not essential
