Maintenance Planner

An exciting opportunity has arose for a **Maintenance Planner & Administrator** to join our **Engineering Department**. As a key member of the Engineering team you will undertake planning of Engineering Maintenance and other administrative tasks as required to support the day to day running of the department.
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Producing information for reporting purposes on relevant Engineering Key Performance Indicators.
- Maintaining all Engineering policy and procedure manuals and controlled documents.
- Inputting data into the Engineering (CMMS) to enhance optimisation and effectiveness.
- Supporting site audits as required and keeping asset registers and administration up to date.
- Working with the Engineering Team to develop, implement and manage the maintenance plans and systems to allow production to be fully optimized.
- Control external contractors database and right to work on site and issuing of Permit to Work documentation to Contractors.
- Working with the Training department to ensure the appropriate induction and training of Engineers meet the safety and skills needs of the business; maintaining the Site Training system to ensure records are kept up to date.
- Providing accurate administrative support to the Engineering department.
- Must be aware of business requirements and understand the impact of how delays within procurement affect the Site financial performance.
- Provide an excellent customer service by building strong professional relationships at all levels of the business.
- To cover in the absence of the Effective Maintenance Coordinator which will include raising PO’s for the Engineering department whilst ensuring budgetary levels are maintained.
- Ensure all COSHH and Food Safety documentation relating to machinery and parts is maintained and up to date for both internal and external Audit purposes.
The successful person will have good IT and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail. You will be able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a flexible approach to your working day. Engineering experience is preferred but not essential.
