Job description

On The Ball Academy is Glasgow's primary choice for 1-2-1 private tuition in football education and we are recruiting an enthusiastic coach to join our team.

We are a top class coaching organisation with classes and teams for kids of all ages; Our teams train twice weekly as well as having matches at the weekend. The successful applicant will work with our professional coaches as well as current and ex professional footballers. You will work towards your coaching qualifications and the SFA qualifications.

K**ey accountabilities will include**:

- Participating as required in the delivery of positive coaching and training sessions in line with the Academy philosophy.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate standards, practices and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the allocated squad including Academy Child Protection policies.
- Always demonstrating a professional conduct to all participating personnel and players.
- Establishing and maintaining comprehensive up-to-date records for the players and team including records of attendance, team development activities and assessments of individuals’ capabilities with their development needs.
- Preparing and planning in advance for all training sessions and match day games.
- Liaising with the medical team regarding the fitness and treatment of players within the allocated squad.
- Supporting and playing a key role with the development and delivery of the Junior Academy curriculum.

**Skills and Experience required**:

- Good IT skills with good understanding of using Word, PowerPoint, Keynote and Excel;
- Previous experience of youth coaching;
- Approachable and able to build and maintain positive working relationships; and
- Highly organised with good time management skills.
- Delivery of individual 1-2-1 training sessions
- Delivery of Group training sessions to various ages (4-6,7-9, 8-12 years)
- Design innovative and challenging training sessions for your allocated player(s)

What is the job? **Part-time weekend morning hours ** Coaching football to 18 months - 12 years old **Good rate of pay and all year round work available ** Great for CV for trainee teachers and sports professionals. Our classes run for approximately 46 weeks of the year. Coach continuity is an essential part of our business.

Experience in working with kids aged 4-9 is desired and a drivers licence is preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
