We are an evolving Waste Management Company based in Upton Magna, Shrewsbury looking for a driven and hungry procurement Executive to work in fast-paced environment. This will be an integral role within the organisation to ensure our growth and success.

You will be asked to respond promptly to customer enquiries, provide quotations to existing and prospective clients and place and process orders additionally maintaining the supply chain effectively. You must have the ability to stay calm and work well under pressure whilst maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times. You must have excellent communication skills that allow you to inform, help and advice client’s clearly and to liaise effectively at all levels.

**The procurement executive will be responsible for**:

- Procure waste management solutions through effective buying strategies
- Build and nurture relationships within the supply chain
- Working to deadline to secure business by negotiating the best possible rates
- Assist with supply chain management
- Ensure SLA’s are met
- Source new Service Providers to ensure an efficient supply chain
- Provide solutions for customers obstacles
- Deal with queries from the Customer Care and Accounts Teams
- Assist with tender writing and submission
- Liaise with the SHEQ Officer to ensure legal, ethical and environmental requirements are met within our supply chain
- Monitoring supplier performance using the available supplier performance data
- Ensure that job specific information is relayed to Service Providers prior to quoting / booking
- Confirm initial bookings to Customer Care team
- Admin support to the department
- Manage the Purchasing department inbox
- Maintain supplier database

**You will also be required to**:

- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Go the extra mile to engage clients
- Ensure that sufficient / detailed information is obtained to allow completion of client’s request

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in a purchasing role or where negotiation is primarily involved is required
- Experience within the waste management sector would be would be preferential
- You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to supply chain management highly desirable
- Previous experience of tender writing and submission would be advantageous
- You will be able to work to tight deadlines efficiently in a calm manner
- Attention to detail is a key requirement.
- Good working knowledge of using IT systems
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

Position is full time based on 40-hour week with a requirement of one Saturday morning in four after initial training.
