Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Grounds construction worker. Duties include
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches, shoveling materials, and loading/unloading construction materials.
- Operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, jackhammers, and pneumatic hammers.
- Assist with the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, temporary structures, and barricades.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with their tasks as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on the construction site, including cleaning up debris and waste.
- Help with the setting up and removal of temporary construction site facilities, such as portable toilets and fencing.
- Load and unload construction materials from trucks and ensure they are properly stored and secured.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project progress.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not always required.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Certification in relevant areas such as OSHA safety training may be advantageous.

**Salary**: £14.58-£22.00 per hour
