Transport Planner

3D Trans Limited are recruiting for a Rotating Days/Nights Transport Planner to join our fast paced and growing Traffic Desk at our depot in Widnes, Cheshire.
- Previous experience of working in a container and general haulage network
- ICT literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) TOPS Fargo Systems
- Experience with local Port Authority systems (Navis CAP)
- Have a good understanding of Large Goods Vehicles (weights, dimensions, and terminology)
- A good geographic knowledge
- A proactive approach to continual professional development
- An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions
- A positive attitude towards customer service and continuous improvement

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan driver routes to maximise efficiency and cost control.
- Liaise with customers daily reporting on any issues regarding deliveries / collections.
- Supervising and managing driver workloads
- Managing your driver’s daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours.
- Monitoring customer requests, allocating jobs and issuing instructions to drivers.
- Communicate fleet availability and issues to the whole team.
- Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure on time deliveries
- Provide updates to Senior Management on vehicle utilization and daily revenue targets.
- Pre-Booking vehicle booking slots at all major UK Ports or Depots
- Laden and Empty Exec Request with customers
- Entering Driver "Start / Finish" times in our Traffic Management system and providing "Night Out" reference numbers where applicable.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
