**Laminating Supervisor**

Crosby Composites manufactures high quality advanced composite parts for the automotive racing and high-end car manufacturers. Established over 30 years ago, the company enjoys high levels of technology knowledge and reputation for quality and service. The business has two sites, Brackley and Wellingborough, and employs around 180 people.

We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our Day Shift Laminating team as a Laminating Supervisor at our Brackley site who has previous laminating experience, ideally supervisory experience. This role will be responsible for the day to day assisting of the Kit-Cutting and Laminating Supervisor and supporting the Laminating team.

Basic hours are 8 - 4.30 Monday to Friday although flexibility is required in terms of working hours, due to production capacity and customer demands. There are peak periods during the year which will require flexibility in both hours and possible Saturday mornings.

Reporting to the Kit-Cutting and Laminating Supervisor and working in a team of around 30, you will be required to support in managing the efficient running of the department, assist with training and development of the department and the running of the Clean Room.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervision of Laminators to ensure they have all the information, equipment, inserts etc. required to complete the day’s jobs.
- Have a positive “can do” approach to daily tasks along with a motivational attitude.
- Day to day workshop discipline.
- Laminating ply checks - Answering laminators request to check work.
- Fault finding - pro-actively seeking laminating errors.
- To train and progress Laminators.
- Be involved with raising QMS lines and investigative meetings to understand root cause.
- Feedback to operatives to prevent issues from repeating.
- Bag checking and sign off.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
- On a rota basis to supervise the department during overtime hours.
- Be flexible and committed.
- Key Holder responsibilities, setting and un-setting the factory alarm whilst following company last man out procedures.
- Assist in taking stock out of the main stores as per clean-room requirements.
- Carry out appraisals as and when required.
- Carry out disciplinary hearings as and when required.

**Experience Required**
- Have experience in a similar fast paced / high pressure industry.
- 5 years of composite experience required.
- Supervisory background preferred but not essential.
- Experience of assisting in the management of a team, working to job schedules and meeting daily targets.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Good communicational and written skills.
- Capable of reaching set targets within given time.
- Constant awareness of health and safety.
