The Customer Engineering Team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Tank Operative

The role of the Tank Operative is to ensure that our new refurbished tanks are ready and prepped to be delivered to our customers; this will involve several tasks such as lidding and hooding of tanks and gas charging. The Tank Operative is also responsible for placing the tank orders onto the correct trailers and cranes among many other tasks.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Adherence to the Calor safety policies on site including the correct use of PPE - Safety is our number one priority in the Tank team due to the nature of the product stored in our vessels.
- Loading and unloading of tanks of all sizes by using an FLT onto trailers and crane vehicles.
- Hooding over ground tanks and lidding underground tanks.
- Gas charging tanks (vapour and liquid charging) to ensure the tank is prepared for customer site.
- Ensuring all workstations are kept clean and tidy, as well as the maintenance of the whole yard.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with our key stakeholders such as national trunking and cranes.
- Ability to use the plasma cutter as part of the scrapping process in a safe manner
- Steaming out tanks, as part of the scrapping process.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed on time, neatly and coherently for the office
- Keeping an open communication with the office in regard to the movements in the yard.

**As such we would like you to have/be**:

- Hold a valid FLT license
- Have experience in a plant or warehouse environment (desired but not essential)
- Engineering background would be useful to have to help with progression and learning
- Team work skills are imperative
- Organisational skills are desirable
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions are imperative to comply with safety standards
