We have an exciting opportunity for a housekeeper to support inpatient child and adolescent inpatient services.

Poplar is a child and adolescent mental health ward based at Rochford Hospital working with 13-18 year olds experiencing mental health difficulties.

As a housekeeper you will be supporting the young people with facilitating meals and attending to non clinical needs of the patients, as well and ensuring that the patient environment is welcoming, clean, comfortable, and safe.

Supporting the Senior Sister, Charge Nurse and Ward Staff in maintaining the ward environment, liaise closely with the Facilities Service Manager and the Estates Help Desk, ensuring that all issues pertaining the patients’ environment and needs are dealt with efficiently

All training will be provided.

Full training will be provided. You will have direct patient contact with the young people on the ward in:

- Supporting with facilitating meal times and patient requirements,
- Supporting and promote the young people to maintain their laundry needs
- Ensuring the environment is clean and tidy, including bed making.
- Working with the estates and facilities team to develop the housekeeping role
