This fantastic opportunity as a Historic Costumed Interpreter with Living History Scotland LTD, provides a chance to be involved with a dynamic team who aim to create remarkable experiences for all their visitors, taking them on a journey they will always remember and sharing their love for History with all visitors.

You will portray a member of the 16th Century Royal Household within the Royal Apartments in Stirling Castle.

You will develop crucial presentation skills, increased confidence, and good social skills due to interacting with your colleagues and, also, the general public.

**Your Time at Work**

The castle is open seven days a week and your hours will be from 09.30 - 17.30 each day. Weekend work will be required.

This is a crucial and important role within the team, and you will be required to act as an ambassador for our company, whilst maintaining high presentation standards. The ability to work together as a team and have exemplary communication skills are essential.

**Essential Skills**
- Good historical knowledge of Scottish history (particularly the Stewarts)
- Drama skills Punctuality Personable Happy Disposition Comfortable with both small and larger crowds
- Quick learner
- Flexible
- Excellent public presentation and communication skills, the ability to adapt and deliver varying presentation styles and involve and engage different audiences.
- Energy, intellectual curiosity, motivation, creativity, resilience, and adaptability

**Desirable Skills**
- Sign language skills
- Second language (including Scottish Gaelic)
- Craft skills (including sewing)
- Costume design and making
- Musical skills (period instruments very desirable)
- Previous experience of delivering live interpretation within heritage attractions, galleries, or museums

Full training will be given by Living History Scotland Ltd, and clothing & footwear provided.
