**Job Purpose**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the global Lactalis Group. We are looking for an HR assistant to undertake a variety of HR and training administrative duties.

The duties involve a wide range of support activities in our HR department, including updating the training matrix and maintaining our Time and Attendance system. There is a significant amount of data input so you will need a keen eye for detail and accurate keyboard skills. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and staff, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.

You’ll assist the HR Manager in a range of duties. Ultimately, you’ll ensure our HR department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employees.

**Your Tasks**
- Maintain Time and Attendance system (Timeware) and prepare weekly reports
- Maintain employee training matrix and file documents in electronic staff files
- Source and book relevant training activities
- Assist with day to day basic operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager
- Point of contact for incoming calls and visitors
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc)
- Deal with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules and regulations.
- Conduct initial induction to newly hired employees
- Any other administrative duties as required

**Skills we need**

You will have excellent organisation ability, working knowledge of MS Office (particularly strong in Excel), experience of HR Time & Attendance systems and strong communication skills. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. You will be methodical, have an eye for detail along with good numeracy and literacy skills. It is essential that you are discreet and confidential.
