**About the role**:
This exciting role involves collaborating with the Fraud and Financial Crime Team to investigate, resolve and prevent Third-party Fraud enquiries as well as consumer card disputes to ensure disputes and chargebacks are raised per the Mastercard guide.

**Your team’s objectives**:
The Fraud and Disputes Team involves establishing and improving a pragmatic framework for** identifying, preventing, and resolving fraudulent activities. **Additionally, we strive to adeptly manage and resolve consumer dispute inquiries and recover funds related to fraud and disputes. **Risk mitigation is a crucial objective** for the team, and there is also a focus on **data analysis and automation **to deliver solutions most efficiently and effectively.

The team works closely with all areas of the business to help support initiatives across the firm to provide advice and solutions so that the bank can grow securely.

**How you’ll impact those objectives**:
This role will be** crucial in identifying and addressing emerging fraud trends,** ensuring adept handling and resolution of third-party fraud claims, and effectively managing consumer disputes whilst servicing processes within the Fraud and Financial Crime function.

**In this role, you need to be able to**:

- Protect the business from fraud losses by i**dentifying, investigating, and addressing third-party fraud claims**, including account takeover and transaction fraud.
- ** Strong knowledge of the Mastercard chargeback guide** for consumer disputes is required.
- ** Proven experience processing chargebacks under the Mastercard scheme **for at least one year.
- ** Ability to recognize genuine fraud claims** and disputes with attention to detail.
- Recognize emerging fraud and dispute trends and communicate them to the Area Lead.
- ** Work independently, take ownership of cases** and **demonstrate a hunger for learning** and development.
- ** Identify process improvements **and **optimization** areas for management.

**What you will be doing**:

- ** Complete fraud investigations within agreed SLAs** and ensure thorough completion of investigation files and documents.
- **
Collaborate with key stakeholders** across the business.
- I**dentify areas of development **and work with management for improvement (training, mentoring, etc.).
- Stay connected within the industry to **identify best practices and emerging risks.**
- ** Investigate and resolve third-party fraud **inquiries promptly.
- ** Analyze** and** resolve dispute and chargeback cases **according to card scheme guidelines for accurate customer outcomes.
- ** Process chargebacks** and** merchant challenges **within the Mastercard portal.
- ** Identify fraudulent trends** and other issues impacting customers.
