**Senior Staff Nurse** / Team Leader in Pre-Assessment**

Up to £37,500 depending on experience

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Wolverhampton Hospital, you will have valid NMC registration and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications / have experience in a senior nursing / leadership role.
**As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will**:
- Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.
- Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
- Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs.
- Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students.
- Contribute to staff rosters, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training.
- Support the Outpatient / Pre-assessment Clinical Head / Manager and be a point of contact for escalations.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Deputise in the absence of the Clinical Head Of Department.
- Be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and ensure there is senior cover at all times.

Overtime
For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
