We are currently seeking applicants for permanent vacancies at our Hitchin site. Reporting to the Team Leader, our Universal Operators are responsible for the manufacture and assembly of products for the water utility industry. Successful applicants will trained in the coating and assembly of products and in the setting and operating of machinery within the Value Stream.
- To carry out productive work as a member of the team.
- To ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with the site health, safety & environmental policies.
- To ensure products are manufactured and assembled to our high quality standards.
- Maintaining housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Adopting lean manufacturing techniques.
- Inspection of products.

Applicants for these roles will ideally have prior experience of product assembly and machine operation in a heavy manufacturing environment or in roles requiring a degree of mechanical aptitude. Competent knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures and experience of reading technical drawings would be an advantage

Pay and Benefits:

- £11.24 per hour starting rate increasing to £13.39 on satisfactory completion of training
- Opportunity to earn up to 10% annual bonus based on company performance
- Pension contributions matched to 7%
