Warehouse Operative

**WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE**

Giffard Newton and Sons limited is the oldest safety footwear supplier in the UK. With a strong heritage in manufacturing, our company has a strong relationship with emergency services and government since supplying boots in both World War I and II. Our brands Tuffking and Samson are considered industry leaders in the world of PPE and safety footwear. We are currently growing at a fast pace and looking for an individual who is looking to start their career with a historic organization. We currently require the right organized individual to help with our Warehouse Operations. The persoon will be energetic and able to pick orders and help keep products organized in the warehouse.

**EDUCATION**:

- GCSE
- Any Warehouse Training
- Bonus if have forklift

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
- Complete diary logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker.
- Have the ability to use software, databases and systems.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organisational skills, self-efficient, good time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- A current Reach Truck Licence, this is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Hours: 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm

Salary negotiable dependent on experience, Appx £10/per hour. Plus 20 days annual leave and Public Holidays.

**Salary**: £9.00-£11.00 per hour
