Part of Kohler Power Group, Clarke Energy design, engineer and develop Power Generating facilities including Energy Storage, Hydrogen, Solar, Wind, Microgrids, Gas-Powered Generation (Advanced Gas, Biogas, Natural Gas) and CHP plants. Clarke Energy is also the authorised distributor and service partner for INNIO Energy’s gas-powered reciprocating engines, packaged generator sets and cogeneration units for power generation. **Degree Engineering Apprenticeships**

Through a combination of on-the-job learning and practical skills development, you’ll work on real projects from day one, collaborating with others and creating meaningful impact. You’ll work towards your professional qualification, along side gaining relevant work experience to your future role. Study for a career at the highest level of engineering, with a work-based apprenticeship course designed to help you become an electrical engineer. This is a Level 6 Apprenticeship which on successful completion, apprentices will gain a BEng Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree. Your future starts here

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Developing your skills in a wide range of exciting projects
- Learning about project lifecycles which in turn will allow you to support your team
- Learning and using relevant design software
- Being involved in client meetings and assisting in building key client relationships

The responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer include:

- To produce electrical design of power generation facilities and CHP Plants, providing input and support at all stages of a project from sales through to installation.
- Translate and develop concepts into designs to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders, developing and detailing specifications, producing calculations and making component selection.
- With the assistance of other Engineers, support and assist in the sales stage of a project by taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the timescales and quality standards required for presentation to the customer/potential customer.
- Liaise with Mechanical Design Engineer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.
- Liaise with CAD draughtsman, coordinating and leading activity to ensure that the design packages are produced to the required timescales and standards of quality.
- Provide support to the Project Manager during the design, installation commissioning and testing phases of the project, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation.
- Liaise as necessary with existing and potential customers and their representatives.
- Participate, and where appropriate lead, HAZOP and risk assessment studies.
- Ensure that there is full adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures in all work undertaken.

**What we look for**

GCSE:

- GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C/4 or above.

A Level:

- AAA at A level, to include Mathematics and Physics.

BTEC:

- DDD in the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, to include the two Mathematics units, ‘Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems’ and ‘Further Engineering Mathematics’.
- D*D* in the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering, plus grade A in A level Mathematics.
