Despatch Planning Administrator

Grade: F 06

Location: Dumbarton

This Role

To create, monitor and control despatch plan, meeting customer service levels for both internal and external colleagues. Reporting to: Despatch Planning analyst

Your Unique Contribution
- Work with projected production plan and orders to prepare the despatch programme for full or part loads at internal and external locations
- Liaise with carriers to Book transport and containers in line with plans
- Maximise slots available by use of are pull-forwards of orders to support production plan where possible, ensure requests processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Liaise with warehouse to match despatch plan with available resource
- Optimise container and vehicle fill for bond removals back to main despatch site.
- Identify and monitor direct despatch opportunities
- Ensure all despatch plan documentation is filled out correctly and supplied to carrier base in timely manner
- Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with HMRC legislation
- Monitor freight supplier performance, highlighting any issues to freight team

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and work with internal MRP systems
- Strong Knowledge of Excel required.
- Strong focus on meeting customer needs
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Good PC skills and numerate
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Working knowledge of all company systems and HMCR requirements
- Ability to react quickly to changing production plans
