The Shed was established in 2021 and saw the conversion of a double garage at the Linskill Centre to create and equip the workshop. The aim of the shed is to encourage the involvement of older men (though not exclusively men), including those that have health vulnerabilities, in creative, practical, skill-sharing, social and learning activities; supporting reducing social isolation, preventing loneliness, increasing confidence within the community, and improving their sense of well being

The successful applicant must be suitably skilled/qualified in leading woodworking, repair and recycling projects, have relevant experience of working in an education or community setting and be creative in their approach and attitude in working with adults. Suitable applicants will possess strong social skills, be confident in managing their own workload and working to deadlines, possess good IT skills, be able to communicate effectively at all levels, and be skilled in project management.

**Salary**: £18,918.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week

- Carpentry: 2 years (required)

- Driving Licence (preferred)
