**Job description**:
We are looking to recruit a Senior Treasury Products Tax Specialist to act as LB London Treasury Products lead.

The Senior Treasury Products Tax Specialist role involves working on the most complex high-profile risk assessment and enquiry work together with your senior leadership input to the team.

Your workload will be varied, consisting of risk assessment, enquiry work, real-time working, and will involve interacting with external customers and their representatives.

You will work with a number of key colleagues across the organisation including Customer Compliance Managers, cross-tax regime technical specialists, policy, economists and accountants.

Successful applicant will be responsible for technical leadership of case teams of International Tax Specialists (ITSs) and Corporation Tax Specialists (CTSs); focusing on building their capabilities through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.

In this role there will be opportunities to influence policy, contribute to the international strategy, develop innovative solutions and build the International tax community.

Some travel nationally will be required as part of this role.

**Person specification**:
**Essential Criteria**
- Deep expertise in Financial Services sector.
- Proven ability to successfully manage complex enquiries and projects end-to-end.
- Extensive experience of structuring or reviewing financial transactions including intra-group funding arrangements.
- Understanding of and the experience of taking into consideration banking regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of valuation/pricing of fixed income instruments issued by Banks and Financial institutions.
- Familiarity with credit rating methodologies used by credit rating agencies.
- Strong grasp of financial transaction market standard legal documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Bloomberg.

**Qualifications**

You should hold one of the following qualifications (alternative qualifications will be considered on their merits):

- Chartered Institute of Tax (CTA) or Management Accountants (CIMA).
- Advanced Diploma in International Tax (ADIT).
- HMRC’s TSP or predecessor qualification (TPDP, ITS2, CPT, FT2).
- Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies membership qualification (such as ICAEW, ICAS, CAI, ACCA, CIPFA) or overseas equivalent.
- Postgraduate legal qualification with a significant element of taxation.

The panel may consider significant relevant experience of tax in place of the formal qualifications listed above, if it can be demonstrated that a lead role has been taken over many years and this will be considered and judged on its own merits.
