The role of Finance Officer is a brand new role within Property Entrepreneur team, and offers the opportunity to join the Company at an exciting stage in its development.

We now require the appointment of a capable and enthusiastic Finance Officer to help ensure we have the operational standards in place to ensure we can achieve the next phase of our growth, from £2M turnover to £5M over the next 3 years.

**About the Role**

Purpose:
The Finance Officer will be accountable to the Managing Director in ensuring the careful management of our Company’s financial administration, as well as taking day-to-day responsibility for operational office management matters. The primary remit will be to manage a wide range of finance tasks, as well as being the key point of contact in the office for all operational matters.

**Responsibilities**:
Banking: Oversee the management and administration of the Company bank accounts (Revolut & Lloyds), including set up and policy. This includes undertaking all regular and ad hoc banking payments and account transfers.

Payroll & Expenses: Liaise with the external HR consultants and the external accountant to ensure that payroll is processed correctly each month and make salary payments, as well as reviewing and paying team expenses.

Finance Management: Ensure day-to-day management of business finances, respond to internal queries and deal with any escalated issues. Produce reports for senior management and participate in Finance meetings with the Directors and/or the external accountant. In future, the role may also include management of a Finance Assistant.

Finance Processes: Keep finance processes and systems up to date and under review, including maintaining and reviewing records of financial transactions, and make recommendations for changes and improvements as required.

Accounts Payable: Audit and record supplier invoices and compile for payment, and ensure all invoices are paid promptly.

Accounts Receivable: Production of and management of all customer invoicing, proactively use the system to manage credit control, and produce and administer customer Credit Agreements.

Financial Governance: Liaise with the Directors and the external accountant to ensure that all financial accounting and statutory requirements are fulfilled.

Office Management: Oversee the operational management of the office, including supplies, and be the main point of contact for any health, safety and well-being issues. Consult the MD and/or the external HR consultants on matters as may be required.

**About You**

With prior experience in a similar role, you will have a strong grasp of finance administration as well as the willingness to take on a range of administrative and operational management tasks. Having a track record of demonstrating attention-to-detail and organisational skills, including working to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, you will have experience working with web-based accounting software and be a skilled multi-tasker.

Must Haves:
Experience of day-to-day financial administration, using cloud computer packages, ideally in an SME

Able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, and a strong awareness of GDPR

Excellent levels of both organisational skills and attention to detail

Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines

Comfortable and capable of undertaking a wide range of general office and administrative tasks

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop rapport and credibility with people at all levels

Behave in a calm, professional manner even when under pressure and working with changing priorities.

Desirable:
Be adept at Xero

AAT/similar accounting qualification, or qualified by experience

Experience in an office management role
